I’m looking forward to this unconference.

This past week was Art Basel. Took the Brightline train to Miami and in the station a guy and I were talking and he said he tried Nostr but he didn’t understand how to work it, not understanding npubs and stuff. I agreed. Been here for a moment and still trying to get it. I have found a Nostr nest once or twice. People are welcoming . But that convo was an eye opener for me. This was someone who is a normie. Someone who heard about all this stuff called Web3 , got a wallet and heard of these media platforms and “are trying it out” Now he believes in Crypto but like me, the learning curve is steep. I told him, just keep showing up and keep learning. Told him I started with 5 minutes a day of vocabulary. I’m still learning.

Started learning Python yesterday and tonight I am finding out there are dictionaries and lists?!? Next is Tuples?!? My brain hurts. Really it’s being presented clear and simplistic but the vocabulary is new to me. Arrays, stings, (“data”) %[ and { and all of that stuff 🤯

Seems Safari doesn’t recognize the Nostr app.link and don’t remember how to find nests, Sunday followed Nostr nests?!? I know my skills are lacking, I am not giving up. I am gonna learn this protocol!!! Got Primal on my phone but can’t seem to post . Watching the YouTubes on the Nostrasia channel inbetween learning Python this week. Also learning about another Metaverse called Income Island . Org right now their properties( beachside) are $30 + and they appear to be building it out so why not ,eh?

Yeah, right!?! I came to #nostr eight months ago and a few months in clicked on a link, was so excited to just be seen, have engagement and I know the first newbie mantra “don’t click on auspicious links” I did and wallet was drained so uh no thanks “ Starknet” been there done that. I’m old enough to remember AOL dial up!!! And not to scare ya but all this happening nowadays with these protocols reminds me of being back in those days- I say we in the new world AOL era . Early? Nah, just evolving.
