This article is interesting, I've spoken about the architects diminishing role within the industry in the past. However, I tend to blame over regulation. Regulations have got to the point where whole new professional specialisations are required just to make a building comply to regulations. Bloody ridiculous

I can't speak for the United States of America, but here in Australia architects are also overworked and under paid, but unionisation is not the answer. Not yet any way. Unfortunately, conditions aren't good for the businesses either. We have to deregulate the whole industry and fix our broken money before conditions in the sector will improve. From one performing arts centre to another! Located in Beijing, China is the national centre for the performing arts, commonly nicknamed 'The Egg'. The building was designed by French architect Paul Andreu and was opened in 2007. This photo of The Fullerton Hotel and the Merlion in Singapore was one of my first attempts at long exposure. I didn't even have a tripod! I improvised by balancing the camera on a bollard and using the count down timer to ensure my hand didn't shake the camera. Needless to say I bought a tripod at the airport before continuing on my journey. #photography #Singapore 🇸🇬 #architecture
