I am not against non monetary use cases on bitcoin. This helps with adoption and price go up. Other forms of money have had other kinds
of uses. Some productive , some cosmetic.
As a new bitcoin participant, it was interesting to see from the sidelines how the bip110 experiment would playout as I have never experienced this before.
My conclusions are that it’s extremely difficult to change consensus rules. You would need to convince the majority of the ecosystem which did not happen in this case
