I really do feel for Craigs situation. In my personal opinion things like this have to keep happening so that more people move to Linux. We can't keep begging 2 companies for permission. The fact that so many bitcoiners use MacOS is so depressing.
I know the argument is that this is how we get normal people to adopt bitcoin however Apple and Google are constantly attacking developers. We have to make pushing easy distributions of Linux to normal people the other most important fight. Between Apple and Google revoking developers accounts and the whole Google Android developer verification, there are increasing attacks each month. KYC at device and OS level. Captchas that only work on Google or Apple verified devices. Windows Copilot and other programs that screenshot every couple seconds of your screen. Apple's AI that will log everything you do on your phone and laptop.
The system is clamping down hard on freedom tech and sovereignty. The migration may be painful for many but this has to happen. Open source everything. Self host everything. Run your own digital infrastructure or pay the consequences.
