Throwback to a client visual identity Project from „Bitcoin verstehen Podcast“😌
What do you choose when everything looks the same?
That was one of my first thoughts when I got deeper into the Bitcoin space in 2021.
Bitcoin is already complex enough. But many websites, podcasts, and platforms looked almost identical: orange, the Bitcoin symbol, open-source logos, and the same stock images.
That makes sense within the culture. But for individual projects, it makes it harder to stand out.
And that was exactly the challenge with **Bitcoin verstehen**.
The podcast already had a clear voice and a strong position. The visual identity just didn’t reflect that yet.
So we developed a more distinctive brand system: a custom logo, clear typography, and a reduced color palette that still felt connected to Bitcoin.
Orange stayed. Dark blue added trust and calm. Gray and black brought structure.
The goal was never to make it look overly designed. It was to make it clear, recognizable, and easy to use.
The result included the logo, colors, typography, podcast cover, brand guidelines, social media assets, and YouTube animation.
Three years later, the identity is still in use.
More than 350 episodes. Over 300 hours of content. And a brand people can recognize at a glance.
That’s what good branding should do.
It shouldn’t constantly ask for attention. It should support the work, build trust, and stay consistent over time.
Congratulations to Manuel Bassler and Jonas Hofmeister on six years of @bitcoinverstehen 🥳
❓Why should people choose your project if it looks like every other one?
