Does anyone use a cracked fire stick device to stream? I've heard they work great, but haven't tried one yet. I could use some recommendations.

I dream of a future in which a child can be born without a birth certificate, live without government ID, and still have the same opportunities I do today.

#wisp is now my daily driver. I don't know what happened to #amethyst, but the user experience has significantly declined in recent months. Wisp seems to improve every week. Viva nostr πŸ€™

After Obama and all the usual suspects supported the election I expected the worst, but this is refreshing. Any local Hungarians on nostr have an opinion? View quoted note β†’

When someone has a strong opinion about bitcoin which is objectively incorrect I lose a lot of trust and respect for what they are saying, but not all. "Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story."- Max Ehrmann

I just listened to the recent Professor Jiang podcast with Jack Neel where he claims bitcoin is a CIA operation and displays a total lack of understanding of the technology. I really enjoyed the two part podcast and I found myself liking Jack and Jiang quite a lot despite holding a very different perspective. It's best not to judge an individual exclusively on a single clip, however brilliant or stupid that clip might be. Jiang's takes are interesting and sometimes brilliant, but I think the recent attention and praise have made him far too comfortable making wild predictions based on limited data. He also contradicts himself a lot. He says his worldview hinges upon hermetic philosophy. Given that is the case, I would like to ask him how he thinks his podcast appearances are going to impact reality. On the same premise I would also ask him why he chooses to predict a dismal dystopian future for most of the planet. I imagine he is deeply wounded and could use a hug, as well as a proper conversation about the reality of bitcoin as a technology.

Think back to your expectations and predictions from one, two, and three years past. How accurate were they? How accurate do you think your current predictions are about the future?
