I'm trying Proxmox on my older Intel NUC and it works nicely. It's great to run HaOS (Home Assistant) & FreeBSD virtual machine and Ubuntu LXC container on one machine

something bitcoiners won't tell you
Bitcoin's security model literally depends on continuously diluting your holdings. Every 10 minutes, someone creates new bitcoin out of thin air to pay the guards protecting your "sound money"

The uncomfortable truth: Bitcoin surviving only thanks to inflation of its money supply
Without printing new bitcoins, it would have no security
One of the biggest lessons and examples for me of how bitcoiners have no culture or morals were the cases surrounding the Prague Parallel Polis. For the last few years before it was closed, the facility was run by authoritarians and none of the OG bitcoiners who had a say there cared... Nobody cared about the truth, building a culture or anything like that. The whole thing was built on closed decision-making by the people at the top and cronyism. Us versus them.
Sixteen years of Bitcoin. Imagine what we could have built by now—a whole generation raised thinking about decentralized finance, cooperative economics, tools for human flourishing outside state and corporate control.
Instead we got another religion. Another in-group/out-group dynamic. Another vehicle for greed wearing the costume of revolution. The promise died somewhere between "be your own bank" and "have fun staying poor"
If you think people will suddenly care about censorship-resistance when they arrive on Nostr, you're delusional. They don't care now, they won't care then, and the protocol can't make them care.
Culture eats architecture for breakfast.

Happy christmas everyone! 🎄
"And payments? They might emerge, or they might not. If they do, it will be because people are already operating in crypto-native contexts where crypto payments actually make sense, not because we've convinced a café to install a Lightning node for the three customers per year who want to perform monetary revolution over their cappuccino."
