What I Learned From the 7th of October Three years after is enough time to sit back and understand what happened. This is what I learned from the 7th of October and its aftermath. Mostly from the aftermath. But before we dive into my deep dark thoughts, lets start with a joke I heard as a kid. An Old Joke A plane crashes over the African jungles and it’s only three survivors, An American a Frenchman and Jew, are kidnapped by a cannibal tribe. They are out in a cage, int the middle of the village. Right besides a huge pot. The chief of the tribe explains to the three that they are going to be cooked and eaten. But that there is a silver lining. “We believe that a person tastes better if he dies while filling fulfilled” the chief explains to the three “that is why before we cook and eat you will give you each a wish, which we will do our best to fulfill.” The next morning the cannibals drag out of the cage the American and put him in front of the big pot. “what do you wish for before we cook and eat you?” asks the chief. The American asks for a nice medium raw steak with a Cuban cigar. He is given a steak and a cigar. After he finishes eating the steak and smoking the cigars he is thrown into the pot, cooked and eaten. All in front if the horrified Frenchman and Jew. On the second morning of their captivity, the Frenchman is dragged out of the cage and put before the pot. “what do you wish for before we cook and eat you?” asks the chief. The Frenchman asks for some Foie Gra and a bottle of Bourgogne. He is given a dish of duck liver and a bottle of wine. After he finishes eating he is thrown into the pot, cooked and eaten. All in front if the horrified Jew. The next day the Jew is taken out of the cage and put in front of the pot. “what do you wish for before we cook and eat you?” asks the chief. “What I want, is a good, strong slap across my face” answers the Jew. “Excuse me?” the chief thinks he heard wrong “Your last wish before we eat you is that you want us to slap you?” “No. No. Not just a slap. I want you to slap me hard. Very hard. As hard as you can” The Jew thinks for a second and adds “If you can also shout ‘take this you filthy Jew’ before you slap me, that will be great”. Seeing that the Jew is serious, the Chief sent for his biggest and strongest warrior. Ten minutes later a huge mammoth of a man, strolls into the village center. Trailing after him were the whole cannibal tribe, curious to see what this is all about. The huge warrior step in front of the Jew, swings his hand back and shouts “Take this you filthy Jew”. The slap that the warrior dealt the Jew was legendary. It was strong. It was precise it was marvelous. Its force was so strong that the Jew was lifted a meter into the air and was hurled to the other side of the village center. Every man women and child of the tribe stood in the village center, holding their breath. They never heard such a request. They never saw such a slap. And they did not want to miss a thing. The Jew slowly stood up. Shaking from the force of the slap, he reaches into his butthole and takes out an Uzi. He then proceeds to systemically gun down the whole cannibal tribe. After they were all dead and no one was left to stop him, the Jew started the trek through the jungle back to civilization. Upon returning to civilization, as the sole survivor of a flight, our Jew became an instant celebrity. Every news outlet wanted to hear hi story and his many adventures. In one such interview, after retelling his whole tale the interview went silent for a while and then hesitantly asked. “You had that Uzi up your butthole the whole time. Why didn’t you use it once the tribe gathered around you? Why did you wait till you were slapped?” The Jew gave the interviewer a serious look and then answered, in a tone reserved for answering children “Because I dd not want anyone to claim that it was the Jews who stated the conflict”. The Lesson Three years after October 7th Muslims and Marxists are marching down central avenues and chanting praises for Hamas. Three years after Hamas murdered men women and children just because they were Jews, people are praising them. My lesson from this is that it doesn’t matter who started the conflict. I doesn’t matter how much violent and abuse was directed towards Jews. If the Jews try to defend themselves, they will be blamed for everything. It won’t help to wait for the slap. Universities have gone off the rails a long time ago. They simply were not aligned with the market. If a new recruit needs to learn everything from scratch and that takes 6 months, what did he learn for three years in uni? And that was before the Marxists took over.
