The study of how we know things (what is true) is called epistemology. It is part of philosophy. People with different philosophies will have different answers. The "finding" that only half of the population sees correlation with reality the basis of truth is not surprising. You can see it in the voting pattern. About half of the population votes for socialism. Not because there is any reality based evidence that it works. They vote for socialism because it feels good. #philosophy

In theory I agree. Executive power should be limited. Decisions should go through Congress. Here is where the logic fails: when you have a big, socialist state and you are trying to change it. The bureaucratic state starts protecting itself. In a lawful manner and an unlawful manner. I'm such a case, playing by the rules results in a failed administration. Once you go #socialism the law only implies to prevent you from gaining #freedom

From #Trump POV, a deal is preferable to war. Many of (what is left of) the #Iran leadership want a deal. What Trump doesn't understand is that he destroyed the Iranians ability to come to a deal when he forced #Israel into a cease fire. Trump thought this is a gesture of good will. The Iranians saw this as a sign of defeat. By convincing the Iranians that they won, that they can dictate terms, he made it impossible for them to compromise. Why should they give up on anything if they are dictating the terms? The cease fire in Lebanon didn't help to create a deal. It shattered any hope for a deal. The only way to get to a deal now is to completely humiliate Iran. To shatter everything they have so that they can't deny defeat. Then they will make a deal.
