An interesting jiu jitsu observation: the ego is in a constant cycle - deflating, inflating, then deflating again. It never ends. I enjoy that dichotomy. Some people can’t handle the deflation part. They struggle with the mental bruising that comes from getting tapped repeatedly along the journey. I welcome it. Training either shows progression or exposes holes. There’s no bullshitting. You get real-time feedback. I got tapped 5 times in a single 5min roll this past week. The guy was technical and skilled. Respect is due when it’s not just deserved, but earned. Earned through perseverance and grit. Cash app has this bitcoin map feature - found a brewery near me that accepts BTC over the lightening network. Took my wife and kids there for a couple beers and a snack, paid with bitcoin. Ya’ll want to hear an interesting Internet mystery? Anyone remember the Disney Channel movie, Brink!? Recently rewatched with my kids. There’s a unaccredited punk rock song by an unknown band in the movie that spawned a 27 year search for the track. Apparently people contacted the director, the music supervisor, etc and nobody was able to identify the band or song.
