So, after the ColdCard incident, I've got the equipment I'm going to use to secure my stash for the forseeable future. Mutli-vendor, multi-sig, etc. But this whole incident made me wonder, would it be a good idea to leave at least a little BTC in each of the base wallets of the signers that make up my multisig, to act as a sort of canary for future compromises, before the multisig itself is breached? 50,000 sats per signer would be a small price to pay for insurance against the whole stash. #bitcoin #asknostr

I just got an email from CoinKite saying that their customer data retention policy has changed. Which actually makes sense, all things considered. What I did not realize is that the previous policy, at least according to the email was that they retained email addresses and country of residence. I thought they at least implied that they deleted everything, though that could have been poor memory or reading comprehension on my part. Anyone else remember?

I want to make sure I understand where things really stand with the ColdCard hack. I initially had my modest stash in a single sig wallet on the CC. I've since transferred it into an n of n+1 multisig I have set up with multiple separate hardware wallets, which includes the CC, but also includes the other hardware wallets I own from other companies. I THINK this makes me safe enough to pause (a couple of days, or maybe long enough to buy another wallet and have it shipped out) and do some research before I make any more drastic actions. Am I missing anything?
