Moringa Ice Cream
Ingredients (Serves 4-6)
• 2 cups heavy whipping cream
• 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
• 2 teaspoons moringa powder
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• Optional add-ins: 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup for extra sweetness, a pinch of cardamom or mint extract for flavor, chopped nuts or chocolate chips for texture
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form (about 2 minutes). Be careful not to overwhip.
2. In a separate bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk, moringa powder, vanilla extract, and any optional sweeteners until smooth and the powder is fully dissolved—no lumps.
3. Gently fold the moringa mixture into the whipped cream using a spatula, stirring just until combined to keep it airy.
4. Pour the mixture into a loaf pan or airtight container. If adding mix-ins like nuts, fold them in now.
5. Cover and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight until firm. For a softer texture, let it sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before scooping.
6. Serve in bowls or cones, topped with fresh fruit, cacao nibs, or a drizzle of honey.
This yields a vibrant green ice cream with a subtle herbal note. Total prep time: 10 minutes, plus freezing.
