Trying the strategy of skipping any news article that contains a certain πΊ word on the title.
To be fair, I don't feel I am missing out on anything whatsoever. π€·ββοΈ

Again, Sunday late eve and here I am, heavily FOMO'ing the weekend and doing stuff.
For once, I'm going to bed instead, and will hopefully start the week *earlier* ππ

Finding out what you used to install an app on android. Note that #GOS allows you to set this to Gugl app store (when using some tool).

Super lazy day (woke up at 11am!), but my body needed it.
Still lazying, but reading π a bit as well.
For a non-technical audience, I prepared some slides to describe what IP addresses are, how servers see the address of its users, and how using a VPN or TOR changes that.
The balance between explaining basic concepts and providing too much detail is delicate.
Working on improving the visuals and leaving the small print for the notes. Light touch during the presentation, but leave more detail if anybody wants to review later on.
I like using the analogy of a hotel room phone extension to describe what "private" (RFC1918) IP addresses are: you can call from a room to another room (device on the same network) by dialling its extension (locally significant number / private IP address), but if you want to call a public switched phone number (Internet server) you need to go via the hotel's phone exchange (Internet/broadband router). #networkingForNormies #privacy #Internetworking
Browser tab cleaning π§Ό: going through those open tabs (or hidden on your phone's browser) and follow up on what you meant to "do later". π
