I'm officially a GPU slave vibe coder. Waiting more than a day for my agent to complete the task with 78k tokens in the LLM... Finally just got an error message! π« At least it is fine warm in the office βΊοΈ #LLM #vibecode

I miss those lonely nights of coding by myself... no LLM helping out. The bitterness was real when we had no internet at home, just a programming book and the hum of my computer for company. #programming #llm
I recently revisited one of my older #python projects, which I had worked on for nearly two years as a learning exercise. This project covered the back-end of a full web application and a basic front-end, and reviewing it has given me insight into how my coding style and practices have evolved over time.
One of the benefits of looking at my older code is that I can quickly grasp the logic behind each function, as I recognize the patterns and structures I used. It's also satisfying to see that I was able to design and implement the logic independently.
However, with the implementation of agentic coding in my workflow using #opencode, I'm now able to leverage local #llm models, such as those provided by #lmstudio, to analyze and improve my code. The experience has been remarkable, as the model has been able to understand the intent behind my web application and allow me to interact with the codebase in new ways. I've been able to ask for more efficient functions and receive helpful suggestions. I appreciate the contributions of the open-source community that make this possible.
One trade-off I've noticed is that when the LLM model rewrites my code, it often does so in a different style and with a different logical approach. While the revised code may be better and more effective, I sometimes feel that I lose a sense of ownership and the satisfaction of having created something purely through my own efforts.
Overall, I recognize that this is a new era in coding, and I'm choosing to adapt to it in a way that works for me. I'm excited to explore the possibilities and benefits that agentic coding has to offer.
