A few months ago I got an idea for a book. A conference was announced and I submitted an abstract and it was accepted. I delivered this lecture on Our Lady of Guadalupe and the unlikely preparation that was already present in the native Mexican/Nahua culture of the 16th century--a longing and a question that found a transformative answer on a little hill outside Tenochtitlan. Any recommendations on a graphics card upgrade for a #Linux machine? I need something basic that will replace my very old Nvidia card that is so old Debian 13 won't load the drivers. Spring has arrived

This new update to StartOS is unbelievable. Not only is the migration easy to follow, the new connectivity is unbelievably slick. Whereas before only Tor made your personal server available on the internet, and almost impossible to share things with normies who have no idea what Tor is, there is now the ability to create self hosted content over clearnet and access your own Bitcoin or lightning node securely from anywhere. All those old computers that don't run Windows 11? Don't throw them away. Turn them into quiet but profound step in the recovery of privacy and digital sovereignty. I'm just astounded at how big a leap has been accomplished by the #Start9 devs. They're doing it. #startOS ftw

I am stuck with Windows 11 for the office and can't believe every time I open File Explorer I have to resize the window and columns from the cramped, unusable arrangement in the upper left corner it defaults to. Every time. If ever there was a dictionary entry for "open disregard for end users", this would be the classic entry. #microsoft #windows #linux
