I agree with this. Its super easy to explain that this tech does not work via credit, its like a full reserve bank account. Acinq needs to pre allocate funds for you to be able to receive payments and they can't do creative accounting, so there is a natural cost and bringing those costs down requires learning the tech in more depth, so where do you want to start? At the end of the day, bitcoin is a hard money, there are no free lunches and it's a small cost to get started. View quoted note β†’
Shit like this is a test. The humane understanding of this should be that this is clear censorship forcing propaganda and silencing and hurting your fellow man. The government that we entrust so much power to should not do such things, we should fight against this behavior. Unfortunately, we have nurtured a culture of excuses: - it doesn't affect me, so it's not my fight. - we can't do anything, the government does what it wants, they are our overlords. - our government has a good heart, its for a good and peaceful western society. If you don't fight for them now, don't expect people to fight for you when it does affect you. View quoted note β†’
Using Cursor to help me explore and document my options for my homelab. I've tried a few times to get something running and it is easy if you don't want full control and knowledge of everything, but I can't take not knowing things πŸ˜„. What's really good so far is that it has helped me organise my ideas and research and it is cross linking, this is the best docs I have ever made. It is also thorough and I'm not getting lost reading the docs. Usually with AI, it does so many things at once and I end up losing track of things. What helped was that I started with asking it what features it had to give itself context and focus and then I told it what I was hoping to achieve. When I realised I wanted more, I was able to ask it to "add this to your directives". I haven't started to build yet, but already I have some tasks to carry out, to test some assumptions before I start where normally I would just run into issues and get frustrated. I have a good feeling about this. And best of all, the docs are really comprehensive with a simple guide backed by detailed reasoning in separate docs.
