I’m hoping and guessing there are a handful more, but it looks like Elon and RFK Jr are senior members of the new admin with a moral compass that goes beyond short term personal gain. Their goals cannot be achieved without significant work, and it shows so far. Vivek talking a big game about DOGE and now exiting before any of the work gets done is on the same scale as launching a shitcoin. Free marketing on Elon‘s back in support of the next job. I doubt we’ve seen the end of this. But I’m still rooting for the 🇺🇸 to turn this ship around.

RFK's speech was touching because you can tell the guy means it. You don't need to agree with everything he says, but he's genuine, and you can tell. A bedrock of principles, a moral compass, and a vision for the future. The polar opposite of nearly all other politicians who spew engagement nonsense for personal gain. To me, this is the closest to statesman-like behavior I have seen in a long time. It's 2 days after Biden has pulled out. Harris has absorbed all the funds (my understanding is that is what happens because she's on the same ticket with Biden). "I have enough delegates behind me." Record donations flowing in. Most competitors falling in line. It's hard to not look at this and see a carefully orchestrated campaign to put Harris on track for president when she likely wouldn't have stood a chance in an open democratic primary. Given the war chest she now has, she is the de facto candidate. Others that for sure have ambitions are falling in line because they understand this and want to maintain their chances of at least securing senior positions given the biggest role is now out of reach. Meanwhile, the Democratic Party voters had zero say in who their candidate is. This is not a partisan issue. This is blatant undermining of the democratic process, and it should worry everyone - within the US and in the Western world.
