I like this sentiment.
I'm tired of the Lunduke-esque hysteria around this sort of stuff. No personal attack on him but it's a term to allude to this "everything is broken we are all so doomed" which is untrue.
The way people define doomed is "company X won't keep doing Y for me", if that is one's level of commitment to digital control then why did you even join this community/movement to begin with.
The onus is on you to find alternatives or. build them.
Once again, self-responsibility is the key.
