Being good looking is crucial when it comes to a human's quality of life and reproductive success. I'd say more so than having a hereditary susceptibility to getting cancer, Alzheimer's etc. Therefore if we are going to edit genes to remove these diseases, we are definitely also going to do it to beautify the human race. Whether you or I think it is immoral or not. The instinct for humans to survive and thrive is so powerful that if there is a way, it will be done.

You need to be part of a strong irl community over the next 20 to 50 years to thrive. It's all well and good having BTC and nostr, but if the people immediately around you are a threat to you, or simply unaligned with your principles, then life becomes hard. The question then is what type of person do you live around and where can you go to be close to them.
