In the beginning of the world, God created mankind in His own image, but our first parents failed to obey God and incurred his judgment and condemnation. Every person born after Adam bears God’s image, yet has a corrupted nature that hates God and his law. One would think God would destroy mankind in his righteous indignation and wrath, but he doesn’t. Yes, the curse and consequences of sin are devastatingly bad. The first man and woman are banished from paradise, from God’s presence and his super-abundant blessings. Yet God shows mercy and declares that the seed of the woman will crush the serpent’s head. There is hope of redemption. In the fullness of time, God came down and became a man to live a sinless life and pay the penalty for man’s sin through his death. This God-man was Jesus and he was raised from the dead justified, being the firstfruits of the resurrection to come. At last, in Jesus, the long-hoped for seed of the woman dealt a fatal blow to the serpent, breaking the curse of sin and fulfilling the hope of redemption. This same Jesus will return to judge the living and the dead. On that last day, those who love Jesus will dwell bodily with God forever in the new heavens and new earth. Those who reject Jesus will be condemned forever. That’s the arc of human history. We are currently living in the already-and-not-yet age, that is, between the time of Jesus’ first and second coming. We don’t know when Jesus will return, but consider 2 Peter 3:9. “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” Friends, God is merciful. Turn to Jesus. Only he is able to save you. Read the Bible with an open mind and ask questions, lots of them! I encourage you to find a church that is biblically grounded, with faithful men and women who can help guide you.

I acknowledge, Lord, and I thank you, that you have created me in your image so that I may remember you, think of you, and love you. Yet this image is so eroded with my vices, so clouded by the smoke of my sins, that it cannot do what it was created to do unless you renew and re-fashion it. I am not trying to scale your heights, Lord; my understanding is in no way equal to that. But I do long to understand your truth in some way, your truth which my heart believes and loves. I do not seek to understand in order to believe; I believe in order to understand. Amen. Anselm

What would it take to get every church on a Bitcoin standard?

Waiting on the Lord Jesus. The return of the true King.

Have you ever wondered why God led you to discover bitcoin when he did? You, like me, probably wish it were sooner (if so, it can be fruitful to explore why). If God is sovereign over all things, and Scriptures affirm this, then God led you to Bitcoin at the right moment. Praise God! If we’re indeed early in bitcoin adoption and you’ve been stacking consistently, then there’s a good chance that you will be better off financially than many people. Why would God allow this? It’s certainly not that we’re deserving. Then why? And to what end? Worth your consideration.

Take personal responsibility. Hold your own keys.

@DETERMINISTIC OPTIMISM 🌞 I’m unsure about the risks involved with “type password over USB” feature in the ColdCard. I love the idea of generating a BIP-85 password and sending the keystroke to my computer, but am hesitant to connect my CC via USB because it would break air-gap. Would have ignored this but the Secure Notes & Passwords feature led me to revisit. How do you think about the risks? Are there ways to mitigate other than using a completely separate CC just for this?

I wonder how many people on Nostr have their halving note ready to relay. Quite a few I reckon.

GM, consider using this day to prepare for worship and rest tomorrow, the Lord’s day.

@DETERMINISTIC OPTIMISM 🌞 for the Q, can I request a feature that allows me to use the left and right buttons to navigate and select PIN numbers? This is particularly helpful when using scrambled PIN because it’ll let me keep my eyes on the screen. In this scenario, I can use Cancel or Backspace to delete the preceding number and Enter to move from the first part to second part and submit.

Gotta hand it to Joe on Squawk Box. That segment with Pomp had me laughing out loud. Highly entertaining.

I’m surprised Bitkey doesn’t have a way to reset the hardware. Hopefully on the roadmap @jack ?

@DETERMINISTIC OPTIMISM 🌞 ATH incoming before Q delivery… If I lived closer I’d offer to come to the warehouse and do whatever’s necessary to get them shipped. Price may be pumping, but I’m more excited to get my hands on a Q. 🤷‍♂️

To my Christian brothers and sisters: If you have Christ you have everything you need. You can’t take your possessions and wealth with you. Naked you came from your mother’s womb; and naked you shall return. Yahweh is your shepherd, and you will not want for anything. He will lead you through the valley of deep darkness and bring you into his dwelling place, in spite of your wandering heart. Fix your eyes on Jesus, and place your trust in the good shepherd who laid down his life for you. He has given you himself and that is everything.
