#[0]​ any Netflix suggestions?

Probably no one reads this but in case - I am a tech noob and don’t get the technical mechanics behind nostr . So nostr doesn’t have servers like mastodon or else. Where is the data then stored ? How can it be that I see a post from person XYZ that is not connected to me or somebody I follow ? Would it be like bitcoin then there would be one chain/ source of truth everyone agrees on , right? But the whole chain of posts cannot be downloaded to a single device, right ? I don’t get it :O
