#nostr reminds me the early internet days. just a bunch of people sharing knowledge and building cool stuff. I don't care about mainstream adoption. It People who understand the value proposition of nostr will find it organically.

Idea: A reviews app on Nostr. A decentralized and censorship resistant alternative to Trip Advisor, Google Reviews, Glassdoor. basically anything can can be reviewed ( products, places, companies, movies, books,...) Could be a new NIP. I guess WOT and paid relays could help against fake reviews. @Derek Ross

if 0.1% of the world population contributed 50$/month to open source projects, that would result in close to 5 billion $ yearly. Imagine what could be built with that!! It's eye opening to see the numbers like that and shows how much impact individuals can have.

I have been seeing a growing number of threads in reddit of people asking for alternatives to twitter and co, but no one ever mentions nostr. we are so early.

I wish #github would add support for crypto payments with Lightning network. Imagine, like you can star a repo that you found useful or upvote some issue, you could zap some sats as well. I cannot sponsor all the repos I like, but would definitely be sending some sats when finding something useful. Repos, issues, PRs, Relases, discussions. everything you can do some kind of reaction, you could zap some sats. It would be awesome.
