🧡⚡️ 8th Satoshi Freeathlon — done! 🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️ As always on August 1st - UASF / Bitcoin Independence Day. 9 athletes, no entry fee, no medals. Just self-sovereign endurance. 💪 This year the UASF celebration fell under a dark star - serious security flaw by Coldcard. Here's how our day went: We kicked off from Steinebach at Lake Wörthsee with a full crossing - there and back - 1km of open-water swimming to warm up the engines. 🌊 Next: 55km on the bike through the rolling terminal-moraine hills of the Fünfseenland. Beautiful, brutal, and endless "one more climb." 😅⛰️ Then a hilly 10km run to Lake Weßling - cheered on by one participant's kids riding alongside on their bikes. 🚲👦👧 Some of us jumped straight in the lake before heading back through the forest to Wörthsee. 💦🌲 We closed the day at the lake with a cool swim, a cold drink… and the now-traditional feature of nearly every Satoshi Freeathlon: the rain shower. 🌧️😄 No sponsors. Yesterday we celebrated UASF Day with the 7th satoshi freeathlon, a friendly triathlon among bitcoiners and friends. Weather conditions were cold, rainy & we were even surprised with a hail storm. Roughly Olympic distance: 1,5km swim, 35km cycle & 10km run. Happy UASF everyone!
