Now, I'll preface this by saying that Anglin, the author, is generally good. At the very least, he's one of the small handful of people that the regime has gone out of its way, personally, to silence, and his articles are written with the aim of informing rather than self-promotion. He has a number of weird beliefs that I disagree with, but he states his genuine beliefs without trying to disguise them, which is sadly better than pretty much anyone else with a platform. That said, the sentiment in pic related is retarded. People aren't standing up for the same reason you aren't - it wouldn't do anything. If you could coordinate everyone at once to stand up, sure, that would work, but barring that, all you'd be doing is giving the regime a free target to make an example of at their leisure. Revolution against a hated government like this one is a coordination problem - it is actively being solved, people are figuring out what does and does not work, but it is not a simple yes-no operation where you can muster a little personal bravery and have it make a meaningful impact. The immediate, impactful things that you can do are finding like-minded people in person and making friends with them, and making sure that you personally are physically fit and know how to do whatever you believe will need to be done in the future.

The DeSantis Humiliation Tour is something to behold. The 'debate' with Newsom makes sense, I guess, in that he's an establishment Republican, and the point of those is to serve as a stepstool for whoever the Democrats decide to nominate, so cashing in his remaining heel value to pad out Newsom's resume is theoretically productive. This, though, feels like they're blaming him for their incompetence, and just ordering him to humiliate himself for their amusement.

A generation of men have grown up thinking "well, I'd rather have the Blastoise." There are going to be significant social implications, here, and I don't think anyone quite understands the gravity. Like, one way or another, society will have to be wholly reorganized around the mass of fighting-aged males who are slowly aging out of their chance at a legacy, and the mass of middle-aged females who already have and want the rest of the world to share their misery. This isn't a matter of "the economy is going to suck unless robots help mitigate demographics", it's a matter of absolutely everyone having increasingly large incentives to set everything on fire. I still say the turning point will be Putin or Xi deciding to put XMR bounties on critical infrastructure.

I have to wonder about Mike Pence. I don't get the same turbononce vibes I get from Lindsay Graham and John Roberts, and I don't get the same "retard that thinks his job is actually prestigious" vibes I get from Crenshaw and Kinzinger, but he's very clearly completely beholden to the regime. Probably a similar deal to Kemp, where he got in for a steady income and he stays in because they'd do things to his family if he didn't.
