Metro Compost & Grow is now running on Nostr.
We are a composting pickup and delivery service based in Detroit. We've been operating for eight years.
As of today, every customer service record in our system exists as a signed, encrypted Nostr event. Customer data is NIP-44 encrypted — readable only by Metro and the customer whose record it is. No third party holds it. No platform can take it. If we disappeared tomorrow, every record would still exist, still be cryptographically authentic, still belong to the people it describes.
This is not a pilot. This is our live operational database.
We built this because data is the permanent asset and code is disposable scaffolding. We built it because the architecture that most businesses use to capture workers and customers isn't inevitable — it's just a choice that hadn't had a working alternative.
It does now.

The protocol is open. Time to build on it.
