Bitcoin is money to spend!
it’s real. it’s practical. it works. i’m about to update my @Blink Wallet to non-custodial. before deleting my transaction history, i reviewed it all (see video) and seeing it made me want to write this when I first spent my precious sats after years of accumulating, there wasn’t a truly non-custodial wallet - no real way to eliminate counterparty risk. using bitcoin with full control was much harder back then. it is amazing how far we’ve come. Blink being non-custodial is a big milestone for me. it also reflects a broader truth: Bitcoin keeps getting better, especially in bear markets. since I got involved, the ecosystem and the tools have improved again and again. Props to everyone out there shipping code and building the future i know things are pretty fucked up right now in our space (even though the timechaim itself continues to operate flawlessly) with coldcard incident and bip110 mess but let’s stay as positive as possible. we grow with every challenge, and our darkest moments often spark our greatest growth. i am really sorry for everyone affected by the Coldcard incident. I lost pretty much my whole Bitcoin stack years ago. but i came back better - stronger, more prepared, and with a clearer understanding of what really matters in life. money isn’t the most important thing - health, family and friends are. together, we are strong. let us stay kind and united, especially in difficult times when our fortress is burning let’s wish the whole community peace - no ego, no arrogance. let us stay humble lastly, I’d like to sincerely thank @Gigi @jack mallers @Jeff Booth @npub1a2cw...w83a coz they helped turn me into the person - and bitcoiner i am today and a sincere thank you to @fiatjaf and all the builders for creating the freedom tech that makes it possible to share this note - also to @primal and @paul keating for the excellent experience on this client And last but not least: THANK YOU, SATOSHI. ☮️ and 🧡
