´When I found out about he Mesapotamian Bullae, I was immediately intrigued. I´ve been going down the rabbit hole of pre-history and what we can learn from ancient civilizations. What are the things they practiced that have been corrupted since and that maybe we can return to, if we learn enough about them. Humanity has always had its dark sides and its beautiful sides, and to not repeat history, we need to learn from it. Pre-history asks us to go a step further, since there is no written record. We need to be able to go out of our world views of today and try to imagine different ways of thinking. 100,000 flyers with poems about freedom and liberty were thrown out of a helicopter tonight to celebrate 50 years of freedom from dictatorship. Poems instead of bombs from a civil war. There isn't really freedom today either, but it was a nice art performance and gesture.

I piece I've been working on for about 2 months broke. This series is about transformation and the journey of life, so I'm going with this is where it needed to go and this is it's journey. So I bought orange and copper pigments and going to repair it with kintsugi. 'Kintsugi goes by a Japanese aesthetic philosophy that finds beauty in imperfection, transience, and the natural cycle of growth and decay. The repaired lines are honored as a mark of survival and a testament to the object's journey. A kintsugi-repaired piece is considered even more valuable and unique than it was before.' Wish me luck🧡
