“Our civilised world is but a grand masquerade. Here we encounter knights, pastors, soldiers, doctors, lawyers, priests, philosophers, and whatnot; but they are not what they represent: these are mere masks, under which, as a rule, are moneymakers.”
- Schopenhauer

Let your bitcoin be your guide
Real science involves results we can replicate, like in physics and math. The fake voodoo that is modern economics has never produced a single repeatable experiment. Why believe in that? Stick with god. Stick with logic. Forget the hucksters who try to make you believe there are wizards in Washington who can predict the future. We have thousands of years of knowledge that show us what happens when central planners take control. Socialists would prefer you forget. Don't. It's no accident that this is not taught in government provided schools.
For the first time in human history, we might have a way to track the value we provide to society that is immune to manipulation and this is why I believe in Bitcoin, because it's truth. It's real people trading real time for what they believe is real value. A slice of the pie they know will never be manipulated against their will. It will be the same slice today as it will be tomorrow or ten years into the future. It's a real chance for humanity.
Thank god for #Bitcoin.
Humans rarely use the em dash (—). Do you know how to make one? For some reason AI can't do anything without them. Dead giveaway in your tweets, emails, etc.
To make one hit alt+0151 on windows and Shift + Option+ - on mac
The only reason you would ever use the second-best tool for anything is because you don't understand how to use the best one. No other reason. #bitcoin
Some random thoughts on why Bitcoin won’t be banned.
Why can't someone ban Bitcoin?
The answer: Anyone can ban Bitcoin.
But there is a better question here: Why would they?
Banning something does not make something disappear. It only limits access to it.
When it comes to the tools we use in our lives, nobody wants to use the second best tool for anything, especially money.
You want the best tool for the job, and when it comes to storing purchasing power over time and space, nothing can do that job better than Bitcoin. (first immutable ledger in human history - first time we can keep a record of the past and know for certain it has not been manipulated)
So we need to understand that Bitcoin is better money first (which is an entirely different conversation)
Eventually when enough people understand this is the best tool it will become the most widely accepted medium of exchange. Some people will only sell their goods or services in this medium the same way people only sell in USD today.
So, if we believe Bitcoin is better money and all our trading partners also believe this, then what purpose would it do for you to ban yourself from trading with others who accept Bitcoin?
Imagine going to the farmers market this weekend, but you decide to ban yourself and your family from using the US dollar. Can you do that? Yes, but why would you? It would make no sense. While you might be able to find someone willing to trade goods or services without using the dollar, your life would likely become much more difficult than if you simply lifted the ban and used the most common medium of exchange.
Bitcoin is not the common medium of exchange yet, but it is better money. Understanding this allows us to weather the volatility and invest in this asset class as global adoption takes place. Once Bitcoin becomes a common money, banning it will make no sense for anyone.
It’s hard to explain this without first understanding why it is better money and second, that nobody wants to use the second best tool for anything. Simple concept but not easy to understand/explain.

Before Bitcoin I was a zombie 😔
Nobody works just for the fun of it. Even if you love what you do, you’re working to produce value—either to meet your own needs or someone else’s. Work is about output, not just effort.

Finally lost some Bitcoin due to a hack 😞
Takeaway: Remove your Bitcoin from exchanges as soon as possible and monitor your bank accounts.
Story: I’ll try to keep this short. I've been working toward orange-pilling my dad for a few years. I bought him a hardware wallet and some bitcoin about 4 years ago. The only way he was going to understand this was if he had some skin in the game and I took him through a cycle on his own. He was interested from the beginning but did not understand much. He eventually wanted to learn how to buy his own Bitcoin. I suggested Coinbase (my first mistake), and he was able to get set up and purchase his own Bitcoin. It was only a minimal amount, and when I would visit, I helped him move it to his wallet.
Since then, he has bought a little bit more (about $200), and by the time of the hack, it was worth a little over $300.
The hack: On October 31st, he noticed his bank had a charge for $1000 from Coinbase. He had to pay $35 to cancel this charge. Then he called me, and we looked at his Coinbase. Someone got in and sent all his Bitcoin away (~$300), and they tried to buy $1000 more. Luckily, we stopped the $1000, but he lost the $300. Coinbass told him to call local law enforcement, but I told him that was hopeless.
Anyway, he now says, “I’m out.” :( He was just starting to come around to Bitcoin, see real returns, and ask better questions about energy and liberty. But now I fear he is back to square one.
Supper shitty. Even with 2-factor, he was vulnerable. This was my first brush with a hack, and now I will be more cautious about the exchanges I reccomend. And will now lower my threshold for sending funds to cold storage.
Hopefully someone finds this story useful. I am still really bumped for my dad. I just hope he can see this as a learning experience and not let it turn him away from Bitcoin for good.
