You cannot regulate an economy an economy is an emergent phenomenon between voluntary individuals, this you can only regulate individuals behaviors. So by proxy the claim that the economy needs to be regulated is the claim that individuals should not be allowed to decide for themselves how best to use their property.

So I was listening to this podcast with Keith interviewing the author of the book "Austrian Economics an introduction" When they began to discuss the process for opportunity costs and how the ability for one to discern what a such a thing is requires the ability for meta cognition about 2nd and third order thinkings. They made a comment about how socialists never consider these costs when judging if whatever policies they are engaging in actually have the desired outcomes that they seek and it hit me. These individuals suffer from the " how would you feel if didnt you eat breakfast this morning problem" this is the exact same meta cognitive thinking that is absent in lower IQ individuals and with the overall populations decreases in IQ as a whole it makes sense why such drag ideas take root so easily as " YA WE SHOULD TOTALLY TAKE HOUSING AWAY FROM LANDLORDS AND GIVE IT TO THE STATE CUZ FUCK CAPITALISM" I couldn't believe i couldn't draw this connection before and I can't stop thinking about it for some reason. #economics #Austrian #cause&effect
