A story about the boy who cried wolf:
He told the village, more than once, that a wolf had come for his sheep.
Each time they ran to help, there was no wolf.
Then one day, there was.
By then, the people had learned not to come running.
In the oldest telling, the wolf takes the flock. In some later versions, it takes the boy too.
Maybe the point is not only that lying has consequences.
It’s that the wolf knows you are fucking up… so stop fucking up so much.
