Would you agree, that it is very hard to argue, that the current government including the senat is hardly representing libertarian values. It is rather war mode, to attack all that is not inline with the decisions of it and to favor everyone with state support who is in support of the government.

This is war. From the 1960 the Soviet union has trained people in the west investing money and time to make them full communists but skilled enough to take over very powerful positions. They did judges, teachers, businessmen. Those are enemies within and this is an existential treath. Those people do not reason like you and me about bringing bread home, having friend and and happy living. They want do build back better after total destruction of the social structure. There is no cost or pain they consider too high to reach their goal. This is their only life goal.

Oh yeah being a libertarian for most of my adult life, I've been constantly disappointed by the libertarian movement's constant flirtation with / acquiescence to the American right. It's a different thing if we're talking about Europe or Latin America, but in the US, my opinion is that the Right is a much greater threat to liberty than the left. There are limited exceptions to this such as during the 70's, when you had actual armed and organized leftist groups committing violence, and the ~1900's-20's with "anarchist" bombing campaigns, etc. Meanwhile, the KKK and other groups like it have always existed, have always been just "waiting on the wings" of the Republican power structure.
