I just recently participated at my first chess tournament. And while playing my first classic games I realized, what real world impact the game of #chess has to my life.
I learn pacience, to prefer studying a position longer and evaluate my best option, instead of making fast decisions.
In the everyday world of working on projects, with managers limiting time per project, I see it as very valuable to sometimes take a breath, rather making slow but precise decisions. Since I will spend more time fixing bugs or changing a concept when I only find them later in the project.
To this I might quote LΓΌ Buwei:
"A wise man seems to be slow in his actions and is fast in fact. He seems to hesitate but finishes quick. Because he waits until the time is right."
