Who's "we"? Nope, not rich. My upbringing was parents having to make something out of nothing. My dad was an orphan. My mom grew up in the country with 3 kids and the whole family lived on my grandpa's meager janitor's wages. My grandma sewed everyone's clothing and dresses, no one ever had things to wear that came from a store, and they all got made fun of. They also had a pump in the yard connected to a well and an outhouse, so that's how they gelot water, and also had to go to the bathroom outside until about the '60s. Once she graduated high school, my mom either had to become a poor farmer's wife or get away from the country to do better financially. In those days, that was the way it was. She moved to the cities, about 3 hours away, and left her family to find work. She actually did marry a man who had money and cane from a good family who seemed nice at first, but he beat her regularly. Then she met and married my dad and they had me and my sister in the early '70s. They made do on my dad's bakers salary, which wasn't great at the time. Anything us kids got, we earned from doing chores or with good behavior, and lots of times, came secondhand or from a garage sale. My mom stayed home to raise us, but then started doing daycare in the '80s to help out with finances, plus she loved children and they wanted to have a lot of them, but couldn't after having me and my sister. We did just OK until my dad got promoted to be a manager. By the time we were teens, my family was doing better. My mom was a Girl Scout leader and volunteered a lot and I think that's where I got my passion for doing things like that. Anyway, they started out with not much. PS - thanks for saying you don't want people like me around nostr. That makes it clear on where you stand and what you think of me. I thought you were cool. Guess I was wrong, ✌️ PPS - I thought the definition of a normie is someone who goes along with the status quo, doesn't question much of society, and/or trusting of the state and its systems. But you seem to define it some other way. I can't tell you what to think, so we'll have to agree to disagree on that.
