How would bridge posting work? Got an URL to some information on it?
When I click on the "share" button for a Nostr-native post, there are two buttons : repost and quote at the top of the box that pops up. (on top of all the user portraits)
When I do this for a bridged (Mastodon-native) post, these boxes are gone. I can only choose "post to Nostr" below the user portraits, and this only allows a "quote" post rather than a repost.
That's strange, got a link to event that doesn't work? It's probably one or more specific events.
I just reposted @Eugen Rochko without a problem, the same repost and quote buttons work fine for Blusky (using @Jay ๐ฆ) and Threads (using @Barack Obama) as well.
Though I think there is an ability to send replies back to those networks, right? I would love to add support for that as well.
OK on the first point, I realize that this might be a Mostr vs Momostr thing ... Those posts you reposted were from Mostr. I noticed that the Momostr posts also have a little globe ("proxy" tag?) icon at the bottom. Nostria seems to be recognizing them as a different thing.
And yes, the point of the bridges is that they're supposed to relay information back to Mastodon... Although the functionality of this is very hit-and-miss, as I've documented, particularly with Mostr : View article โ
example BTW

Another example, I reposted from Amethyst:

I found the issue, the events from that bridge is marked "Protected Event (NIP-70) and Nostria didn't allow repost/quote of those. This is more of a relay NIP than client, it has been fixed now and deployed.
Sorry for late fix, I had some other improvements to finish first.
I also noticed that one of your comments in this thread renders as JSON, I'll get that fixed too tomorrow.
