Cried in dream. I was maybe at airport, or about to go on a trip anyway. Dropped them and they were fine. Minute later check again and they are completely fractured. No back ups. I mean, I have random pair of 10 dollar readers or two, but they're out of date and don't come close to the expensive pair I use all day
“The initial act of dropping glasses that remain intact for a moment can symbolize a fragile situation or a perception that is under stress but not yet fully shattered. This may reflect a sense of holding on to a false sense of stability or clarity in your waking life, possibly related to a relationship, a personal belief, or a situation where you are trying to maintain composure despite internal turmoil. The delay before the breakage could represent a period of denial or avoidance of an inevitable emotional or psychological rupture” Well I hope this isn’t what you’re going through, but if it’s about Bitcoin don’t worry we’re getting back up
I treat mine like they're worth $1000, because they are. Have only dropped them once so far, and I was very nervous to inspect them
well, if my eyes would just converge properly i wouldn't even need them. i got another pair, more expensive, frameless, but they are 1.25 and it's so strong it would probably be dangerous for me to wear them driving a car. text is not blurry, it's doubled, slightly right and upwards and my right eye is the one that is weaker, it is *slightly* blurry. it was caused by kidney damage from sucralose and acesulfame-k
yeah, just call me marla :) that was why it was so disturbing when it happened. suddenly the pixels and colors on my screen were jumbled up (old style LCDs have a checkerboard two phase refresh pattern and because my eyes were jittering in the wrong direction, the image was sharp, but confused. then about 6 months later it started to get too blurry. the sweeteners kicked it off, but alcohol was what kept it declining. since i pretty much stopped drinking the last three months it's reverting. it's diabetic-type vision loss. i probably need to stop smoking too so more blood flows and they repair better. ugh.
I quit drinking, but that I was a heavy user, a few days ago. Weed too. I'm very grouchy, but mornings are better. And I can't deny clarity of thought improved. Smoking is the final boss, eh... Can't say anything changed with vision. Still trash and declining :( A bit early to tell, but I'm not expecting the gift of vision
If you were an IPA person hop water and NA beers from companies like Athletic have come a long way. Worth it once in awhile to get that flavor fix without the alcohol. Hoplark is the best I've tried. Flavor is good but they are thinner, like lower viscosity, which takes a minute to get used to. Ritual exists for liquor but I haven't tried it and heard mostly bad things.
I like an occasional IPA, but bourbon ginger beer is my go-to for the last year or so. My body craves it around dinner time, and slowly I noticed less enjoyment combined with more helpings... Have had just the ginger beer a couple times since I cut the alcohol. It hits the spot surprisingly well. Vanity is proving the biggest incentive though. My face and skin are noticeably better looking. Have even gotten a couple random compliments from people I know, so pretty sure it's real
yeah, i'm not gonna say it doesn't suck having to carry them around all the time and risk damage and the problems of cheap shitty scratched dirty lenses compared to and the price of good ones. none of the solutions are good. laser can help but is expensive, glasses are bulky and fragile, contacts are annoying af and don't forget to take them out. ouch. i wore some colored ones one night, got way too drunk, and woke up my eyes were sandpaper. though if it means i can fully see all day long it might actually be less of a pain. but if the kidney function returning reverses it then there's no sense in me going to much lengths. i probably even could have half this prescription and it would be perfectly fine. oh yeah, also, might be worth getting some of those necklace string things, i gotta get some myself. makes me feel a bit like an old fart because mostly that's who wears them like that, but i would like to not have people chasing after me to give them back when they fall off my collar where i hang them when i'm not reading.
