I've been pondering this sort of thing myself. The only solutions that come to mind are either a person has to squat on every possible NIP05 available for that handle to ensure no one is imitating them OR there would be just a handful mainstream issuers that are deemed "credible", but the latter solution balks at the idea of decentralization
