I'm also in mainland China, and I've tested it myself. It seems to be reachable for now... But if you're just visiting China, I'd recommend preparing an international SIM card that supports roaming in mainland China beforehand. Or, like a true mainland local, you can always resort to some weird self-hosted proxy services... And that's China for you.
