Oh please, I’ve been held at gun point by local police many times in different jurisdictions. It’s totally fine! New Orleans police were likely the scariest encounter though! Def the biggest ass holes... Max, you better come visit us in the “land of the free” one day to experience our form of freedom which always involves guns whether you like it or not. https://fountain.fm/episode/PgIO6W2ytbfpNk8IQVAE nostr:nevent1qvzqqqpxquqzqelznw4lmegt2uu7q8a7ext7jgsl4z3yl39aje40fgjathjzqrmmd29p6x

Not because of any doxxing but it's just more fun to tell in person! It was terrifying but we went to Nola during college but was soon after Katrina and had a great weekend until Sunday morning. Driving my truck with 4 other people in it out of town on Sunday (hungover AF) we were looking at the buildings and the water line on the buildings. Being distracted I missed a blinking red light which means I should have stopped. I almost (not really) hit a jeep grand Cherokee (not a cop car but found out he was an off duty cop) He followed us (next to me) by driving on the wrong side of the road. I assumed it was some asshole (he was but he was an asshole cop) and a few blocks later there is a guy standing in the street wearing jeans and a t shirt waving his hands. I assumed we were about to get beat up by some thugs so I drove around the guy. Next thing I know the jeep is cutting in front of me and boxing in my truck. Then he's out of the car pointing a gun in my face. I put my hands up and he tried to drag my fat ass through the open window. I finally gave in and said "I'll open the door dickhead" Next thing I know gun is at the back of my head. I'm slammed on the hood of my truck and hand cuffed. Then he finally displayed his badge. My wife is still convinced they were fake cops. But they were probably real just reeling from the chaos of Katrina only a few months before. Anyway, after an hour of searching our suit cases and only finding dirty laundry they let us go. But the main asshole cop had the last word. The other cops (probably 15 in total) were generally OK. but the main dickhead had his last words. I just bit my tongue and said "yes sir" to avoid anothet gun and a trip to jail. I probably should have sued them. But now it's just a hilarious story and the end of me trusting any cops...
