Oh please. Shoot a cantaloupe or watermelon at 200yds with 30-06, then reply to this post.
Damn
I have a .50 cal Barrett…will that suffice? You aren’t making point…
He wouldn't have survived even with the body armor. That cartridge is absolutely a fuckyouup design.
A lot depends on the projectile. Dropping a lung isn’t gonna kill him, which very well could have been the only significant injury from a ball round.
Carve a pumpkin and then shoot it…that’s what shooting a lung is like.
Fair enough, but then you have to assume the projectile will exit at the back and cause a bit more damage than you're assuming here.
Armor != Bulletproof
I assume nothing with the observation that he may have survived absent body armor, along the very plausible lines in the video.
It's a ridiculous thought experiment, and you know it. Just stop.
The lack of back splatter is very curious to me due to that cartridge. I thought initially that the shooter used a mid power round with hollow points. A straight shot with a 30-06 would have significant exit energy. Supports the body armor thesis
I’m sure it’ll all be figured out in time…sad.
