my friend joel would have loved bitcoin. he was always working, always earning money, always investing. he had a full time job that paid well, but he also was constantly day trading in the market (while at work lol) and constantly tinting windows in the evenings and on the weekends. people used to drive 3+ hours just to have him do their tint. he was legendary. every penny he earned he threw at the market. wow. he would have really loved bitcoin. he would have immediately understood it. there's even a chance that he would have gotten me into really bitcoin before 2020. im betting that the bull run of 2017 would have sparked his interest. i miss joel. i can still hear is high pitched laugh. he died in a motorcycle accident 11 years ago today. he left behind two small sons that will never know their father beyond photos and stories. and man, do i have some stories for them when they're a bit older.

Joel sounds like he was an absolute legend. With that kind of non-stop hustle and drive to invest every penny, he 100% would have seen the vision of Bitcoin immediately. You're probably right, he would’ve been leading the charge during that 2017 run. It’s tough losing a friend like that, but keeping his memory alive for his boys through those stories is incredible. They’re going to love hearing them.
