One of our biggest user-experience updates ever…
 • Privacy by default (hide balances & transactions from Spark explorers)
 • Brand-new Bitcoin gifting experience
 • Refined settings interface
 • Smoother, more reliable performance image Spark recently introduced the ability to hide balances and transactions from Spark explorers, boosting outward-facing privacy. We’ve fully integrated this and enabled it by default — with no configuration needed. Every Blitz user now gets stronger privacy right out of the box. Creating new Bitcoin experiences is what we do best. You can now create non-custodial gifts that are fully refundable after expiry, making it effortless to onboard new Bitcoiners without the fear of losing unclaimed sats. With receiver-only online requirements, claiming reliability is also close to 100%. Say goodbye to the old settings layout. You can now edit and share your Blitz profile more easily, and navigate your configurations without overload. Everything is clearer, cleaner, and easier to find at a glance. Under the hood, we resolved a broad set of issues to improve stability, rendering, and overall app performance. The experience should feel noticeably smoother. Misleading. "Privacy" -- but there is literally a "Lightning Compliance" company that is able to associate your IP address, balances, and transactions! This is like saying "Your communications are secret, but we share them all with Facebook."
thank you and I'm dying to know where in the spark documentation or some kind of news that they release does it say anything about the new privacy enhancement? I couldn't find anything except that it's "in development"
The current privacy upgrade was all outward-facing, it removes your Bitcoin balance and transactions from public Spark explorers so people cannot look up your wallet balance from your Spark address. We unfortunately overlooked the NWC wallet when adding the privacy configuration, which is why it still shows. We will make sure to fix that when we give NWC a better look.
