I wish we had a more meaningful alternative than “followers.” It’s an entirely useless metric because there is no global state for the Nostr network.

💯 I would love to somehow see a dynamic count/list of people who’ve interacted with my posts in the past 30 days, or whatever, rather than “followers.” Followers only makes sense if there is a central global reference point to calculate them, and even then they are mostly a vanity metric. Interactions/engagement is far more meaningful.

I like it, interactors and interactresses.
I think there could be a lot of usage out of other similar words, such as disciple, supporter, apostle, devotee, acolyte, missionary, minion etc. Personally I waver between calling them worshippers, camp followers or flunkies! Although one could also make a case for myrmidon....
