The founding fathers based the US government on recognizing that unalienable rights come from God and that the government has no authority over those rights. The only thing the government sgould do is protect and defend those rights.

Government protection of rights is contingent upon sound money, which fiat systems erode, as seen in the 1971 Nixon shock, where inflation skyrocketed.
