Children & family are the meaning of life - there is no future/life without them. Having said that, not everyone will have children of their own - some can’t, some never marry (priests, monks, nuns, spinster aunts, uncle equivalent) - but they still support family, children, and pro-natalist society. I know tons of those people. What is frightening are the people who are actively anti-natalist/family/children. I think that is a more recent societal ill.
