landscapers are trimming my bushes in front of the house with a gas powered hedge trimmer i tried looking outside though the door to see what they're doing but was hit in the face with the horrible smell from the 2 stroke engine - i immediately closed the door thank God my lawnmower is electric i can't imagine having to huff those fumes on regular basis and yet boomers do just that when mowing their lawns - maybe that's why they are so stupid you need a $2,000 ( including cost of batteries and charger, though admittedly those can be shared with other tools ) electric lawn mower like mine to match the performance of a $500 gas lawn mower but after having a whiff of that gas hedge trimmer i would say it is worth the extra money LOL you can of course buy a cheap electric lawn mower too but i am not sure how well those work. mine is a commercial model with dual 56V batteries, cast aluminum deck and a single piece steel handle. the cheap electric mowers you buy at Home Depot are made of plastic - i saw a woman load one ( it was boxed up but the box had a picture of what's inside ) in her SUV without any help from men - mine weighs 150 lbs including batteries, charger and packaging - highly doubt she would be able to lift that. the box mine came in was also double the size of her box because her plastic lawnmower has a folding handle. will her Ryobi or whatever the fuck it was work ? maybe. honestly don't know. my lawn mower was a massive overkill for the size of the lawn i had in NJ but i feel it is a pretty good match for the larger lawn here in Orlando. i may actually go mow the lawn after the landscapers are done trimming the bushes.
