i understand that these feelings overlap, but that's not exactly the question...
allow me to phrase the question this way:
in a relationship, what do you value more: emotional connection or recognition and acknowledgment?
Feeling respected
do you feel like respect is a prerequisite to love?
respect must be earned, do you feel like love must be earned also?
off the top of my head, i suppose emotional connection 💜
I *think* that feeling respected is a prerequisite for me (as a man) to be able to make her feel loved.
are you saying that your love is conditional based on if you feel respected by a woman?
Good question. I see love as a choice. When I feel disrespected I can still love someone. But since I also love myself I set boundaries, take space or even leave. This does not make her *feel* loved. If I feel respected otoh I become soft, caring and loving.
