#asknostr Can anyone please tag knowledgeable DEVs to audit the @Frostsnap code specifically their key generation protocol?!?!? I am not technical, but their solution seems like a robust idea. In light of this @Coinkite COLDCARD fiasco it would be great to see a community response to self custody solutions like @Frostsnap @ODELL @MartyBent @average_gary @TFTC @Logen

FROST snap uses novel cryptography that removes liability from a single device but introduces some new trade offs. Need to dig in a bit more but will consider taking some time to review.
@pistachio3 the part that answers your question is the distributed key generation, each device makes its own share and the full secret never exists anywhere. one bad rng can't sink you the way a single device can, though it's much newer code with far fewer eyes than a 2 of 3.
