I do not doubt the complexity nor have I down played it. It is very dynamic issue with very real consequences. But blaming one group of people WITHOUT desiring to endeavor to discover the cause is a “talking point” knee jerk reaction. Where are the displaced coming from? Why are they leaving there? What are their intentions? Do they desire to return if their home country was returned to “normal”? I think comprehensive immigration policies are necessary. I love history and what it tells us on migration and immigration. Blaming immigrants and poor people who don’t work…not logical or reasonable for any educated person.
