I don't know him. I have mentioned Nostr to quite a few people now and I find the sell extremely difficult. You can see that cynical look on their face like you are asking them to check out the "latest" app or bit of software. They then tell you they like Discord (like Alex here) or Bluesky and a bearish wave washes over me. You say the word "decentralisation" and their eyes glaze over. However im gonna promote Nostr again on some upcoming videos and got a decent response when i menttioned it before. Will also soon be introducing Immich and other self-hosted and FOSS options that exist for photographers. It's just very easy to forget how far down the rabbit-hole we are here. Releasing my current stream of consciousness would be like talking a foreign language. Especiallly to people still so deeply ingrained in the fiat system and who are often seen supporting authoritarian regimes, such as the recent "ban" of social media for young people in Australia. Apologies for length of reply. You just struck on something i've been thinking about a lot lately.

Completely agree. Their responses are understandable. A lot of snake oil salesmen promised solutions in the past, none have been successful. The uphill battle is real. Thanks for responding and sharing your thoughts. 🤙
