I know this was a question for Laser, but I’ve done a ton of research on this topic myself, so I thought I’d share my thoughts. In short, I’d recommend APEC for under-the-sink and AquaTru for on-the-counter.
If you have an HSA like myself, there is a brand called Sans that has on-the-counter RO filters that you can pay for with HSA money. I got this one about 9 months ago and have had a pretty good experience so far.
I also camp occasionally and use the Grayl GeoPress which has a great in-bottle filter for filtering from rivers and streams.
Very much appreciate the input sir 🫡 I have an HSA but am not touching it for 10 years minimum since it's 100% in FBTC
Great answer.
Totally understand that strategy. I do a similar thing, but I occasionally spend some of my HSA. I figure if I can spend HSA dollars instead, I can turn more non-HSA dollars into non-ETF BTC.
Interesting thought. The only potential issue there is that your real BTC at this moment is taxes with short or long term capital gains. But the paper BTC you hold in an HSA isn't taxed at all. That combined with the fact that if you have a based doctor for your family, you could spend your HSA on almost all your food. Not talked about enough in the Bitcoin space
That’s a good point. I hadn’t thought about being able to spend HSA money on food. Would that be possible if your doctor wrote you a note saying something like, “Patient must eat a diet of local, whole foods”?
Bingo. There was a Rogan episode in the last 1-2 quarters that talked about that concept.
But yeah, your doctor can prescribe you almost anything food related, gym equipment, etc and HSA can reimburse you
I hadn’t thought of that. That’s a super promising idea. Thanks for sharing!
