This meme is funny, but I was recently chatting with a nocoiner who told me every bitcoiner he's met so far comes across like a used car salesman. This is unfortunately true in many cases. In contrast to that desperate pushy crap, there are several high-end car brands which require an interview to qualufy for purchase with a commitment not to resell for a certain period. Some car makers even require references from existing customers in order to own one. Different energy pattern. View quoted note →

I'm super reserved about Bitcoin in person. I almost never discuss it. For one, no one cares. And for another, it's bad opsec to have a big mouth.

Or go in between. Wear something with a ₿ on it, and then only talk about Bitcoin if someone else brings it up.

All I say is "Do you take bitcoin? It would be a lot cooler if you did." At a store where I am buying stuff. In casual conversion it almost never comes up unless the wallstreet price moves enough for some "news" channel to talk about it. Then I basically pull a Bill Murray in Groundhog Day. "Well because anyone can run a node in this decentralized network. The peer to peer fee market does more to regulate the perception of Bitcoin's worth than the wallstreet price. My private key allows me to take these coins anywhere that goods are cheaper and do an arbitrage against the price on the television....did you want to talk about Bitcoin or just trying to chit-chat?" Invariably they say, "chit-chat."
Just talk about how bad the fiat game really is, you don’t need to mention Bitcoin, most people have no idea how fiat works
